it's Yuktoberfest!
Not to worry, I haven't entirely lost my sense of humor. Thanks to Laura at Catholic Teacher Musings (one of my new favorite places to visit) the first thing I did this morning was write bad haiku. Now, tell me, how bad can a day be when it starts off like that?
Here's my contribution to this fall festival of fun:
"Stucktober"
Leaves in my laces
Bees in my apple cider
Milk duds in my teeth.
OK, it's a bit pessimistic, not all that funny, but it is bad, right? (That's what happens when you wait until the last minute and are just a bit cranky.)
What are you waiting for? Get over there and join in the fun!

I completely "for real man" laughed out loud when I read this.
You are a gem of a haiku artist.
Love this, there are a lot of haiku writing on blogs, yours is defiantly my favorite.
hey - I would think milk duds in your teeth would be a GOOD thing...I'm just sayin' :)
Wait...that looks like beer...
Hee hee! Like Laura, I thought "Man, those are some beer-lovin' bees" until I read your haiku!
(Suppose apple cider would be a bit more enticing... ;) )
Happy Yuktoberfect!
Milk duds in the teeth, bubble gum in the hair...neither one is good.
Bees, arg! The bane of our existence :)
But they make a good "bad" haiku :)
I don't know, but that was brilliantly funny!
Ha! I love it! The Milk Duds in my teeth line is great! But, made me think... You know there was always some kind of carmelly candy that we'd get that really did stick to your teeth something awful... I can't think of which one it was, though...
The question is: did you drink the cider anyway? I mean, that's some extra protein, and I'm pretty sure they're charging extra for such delicacies in France.... or something.....
winners are up.
